Summary
This is a remote detection unit for hedgehogs which measures surface or subcutaneous PIT tags and records the results into a spreadsheet. It is battery powered and lasts 2 weeks in the field. This is achieved through an innovative power management system. The RFID system can be programmed to record at different intervals within a 24 hour cycle.

The unit is produced under GNU licence for Nottingham Trent University. The key engineers on the project were Neil Whitehorn and Jack Whitehorn.
